Energy Star is a program designed to reduce energy costs and protect the environment by making homeowners and homebuilders aware of energy efficient products and building practices. Homeowners can look for the Energy Star label on products such as kitchen appliances, air conditioners, windows, etc. when making selections for their home. Homes that have earned the Energy Star have met the strict guidelines that qualify them as energy efficient.
The Green Built Home program encourages energy efficient building practices for homeowners and homebuilders by providing a Checklist of energy conservation options to choose from. Options of Checklist address features such as the indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and erosion control standard for the new home or remodeling project. The Green Built Home initiative reviews and certifies new homes and remodeling projects ensuring they meet the requirements as outlined in the Checklist.
Classic Custom Homes also works with the Focus on Energy program to make homes energy efficient both inside and out. Wisconsin’s “Focus on Energy” program helps eligible residential homes reduce their energy consumption and costs by providing cost effective energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions. Through the help of the program’s incentives, energy audits, product buy-downs, and other efforts, Wisconsin residents have saved a reported $70 million in energy expenses.

Blower Door Testing is used to determine how airtight the home is. A home that is improperly airtight may experience higher energy consumption, condensation problems, cold drafts in winter, and/or poor indoor air quality.
A Post-Construction Inspection is given to each of our homes after the construction work is finished. A comprehensive home analysis is completed by an unbiased home inspector. It’s designed to check for any structural flaws, electrical deficiencies, leaks, incorrect appliance installations, etc. At Classic Custom Homes, all of our homes are tested to assure you that your home is safe and secure.
